Part I: ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY
After choosing the topic for your Research Project, you will complete an Annotated Bibliography assignment using the Research Project: Annotated Bibliography Template provided. The topic of the research project has to be related to 'a current issue concerning the use of health informatics in quality management and decision support within the healthcare industry'.
This assignment will be used as a springboard in your research for your project. It may also be used to begin to explore ideas or concepts you find interesting within the realm of the topics covered in this course. You must use the Liberty University Library Research Portal to identify a minimum of 5 scholarly journal articles from peer-reviewed journals addressing your topic. All references must be less than 10 years old. Ensure that the document follows current APA formatting. When using the provided template, delete current material and replace it with your own material. Refer to the Annotated Bibliography Rubric for additional project insights.

Part II: OUTLINE ASSIGNMENT
You will complete a full sentence outline in preparation for the Research Project: Final
Document.
You will be using the same topic as the Annotated Bibliography.
The outline must include a thesis statement, the research questions/issues being answered/addressed, how much space will be allotted for each section of the paper, and a preliminary reference list of at least 5 sources (that are less than 10 years old).
Full Sentence Outline
The full sentence outline format is essentially the same as the alphanumeric outline. The main
difference (as the title suggests) is that full sentences are required at each level of the outline.
This outline is most often used when preparing a traditional essay.
Thesis Statement:

I. Man-made pollution is the primary cause of global warming.
A. Greenhouse gas emissions are widely identified by the scientific community to be
harmful.
1. The burning of coal and fossil fuels are the primary releasers of
hazardous greenhouse gases.
Full sentence outlines are often accompanied with an APA reference list on a separate page.
Quotes within the outline must also utilize current APA format for in-text citations.

Part III: FINAL DOCUMENT ASSIGNMENT
Using your Annotated Bibliography and Outline of the Research Project, you will work on a 5-page paper complying with the formatting and content instructions below.
You will be using the same topic as the Annotated Bibliography and Outline.
Format
• Minimum of 5 pages, double-spaced not including title and reference pages
• Current APA format
• Numbered pages
• Minimum of 5 scholarly articles from peer-reviewed journals. Must be less than 10 years old.
• Show block quotations for more than 40 words:
- Single spaced with double space separating quotes
– Indented 5 spaces from left hand margin
– No quotation marks
• Reference page in current APA format including active URL links (not included in page total)
• Single-space between references and double space within the reference
Content
• A title page that includes:
– Running head: and page number (right aligned)
– Course number and name
– Case name
– All group member names
– Date submitted
– Respectfully submitted to: (Instructor’s Name)
• Abstract (block formatted)
• Content of your topic and/or paper
– Concepts from the textbook that are related to your topic, including page numbers where the concepts may be found. Credit will only be earned for concepts supported by text page numbers (Essentially, this is accomplished through integration of the relevant course content, using properly formatted APA citations)
- Use current APA format for “in text” citations to credit sources listed in the reference list as appropriate
