MGT 440 The Dark Side of Leadership

Dark Leadership Shadows

| Prepare

Prior to beginning work on this assignment, read Chapter 1: The Leader’s Light or Shadow and Chapter 2: Stepping In and Out of the Shadows in your Meeting the Ethical Challenges of Leadership: Casting Light or Shadow textbook.

Leadership is a complex topic. Up until now, most of your studies have focused on ethical leadership forms, but ethical leadership is only one part of a much larger leadership picture. There is also a dark side to leadership and to truly understand the ethical side of leadership, you need to understand the dark side.

Review the Shadows interactive to learn more about the shadows that leaders can cast. Evaluate how well you understand these shadows and how they can manifest in leaders.
