? investigate a topic you are interested in that we might not have spent enough time on in the class and
? practice “climate communications” by sharing information about the topic with the rest of the class, since we know talking about climate change and environmental issues to the people in our immediate circles is so important.
PRESENT: Create a short (5 minutes, and app 4 slides (including a title slide) presentation using Power Point or some other format to brief the class on what you learned at the Pacific Energy Center. You should practice your presentation so that you don’t go over 5 minutes. Presentation should cover:
1. What class did you take
2. Why did you take it
3. What were the most important things you learned and how does it to relate to what we are studying in this class?
4. Would you recommend others take this class?
A good presentation will use graphics and have minimal text. Please don’t just cut and paste parts of you report onto slides and read them out to us.
Debrief Paper on Pacific Energy Center Class: Essay portion
The PURPOSE of this assignment is for you to investigate a topic/climate solutions you are interested in that we might not have spent enough time on in the class and to practice communication skills, by presenting on the workshop you took to the rest of the class.
Papers should be 650 words, 11-pt Times New Roman font, 1-inch margins, no more than 1.5 spaced.
As always, papers should be written as an essay. The questions are prompts to help you craft your essay.
1) What class did you attend? Who taught it?
2) Why did you chose this class?
3) Describe three main ideas or information that you will take-away from the class?
4) What surprised you about this topic area?
5) How does it to relate to what we are studying in this class?
6) Would you recommend this class to another student?
