Is Holding Parents Accountable for the Criminal Behavior of their Children a Major Tool of Delinquency Prevention and Control in American Society and Culture?
This requires an appreciation for the topic The Family and Delinquecy. It also requires working knowledge of major theories/explanations of delinquency and their social policy prescriptions. Reference is made to parents whose minors engage in a wide range of delinquent activities, from theft and vandalism to gang and drug activities. It especially includes the parents of the Michigan teenager, Ethan Crumbley, who at age 15 shot dead four students with the handgun they purchased for him as an early Christmas present. James and Jennifer Crumbley were on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, convicted of four counts of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison each]. Is any brave soul willing to take on the topic for us?
This debate-style Assignment requires you to identify and develop Arguments FOR and
