Assignment on Cultural Immersion Project
Introduction
Students will need to receive formal approval from the course instructor prior to engaging in the immersion experience. To receive approval for this assignment, students will first complete and submit a brief proposal to the instructor. Note that submission of a proposal does not constitute approval. The instructor will then review the student’s proposal and, barring the need for any revisions, provide the student approval to begin the project.

Directions
Students will address two aspects within their proposal:
- Identify the cultural group that will be the topic for this project. Students need to be specific when selecting a cultural group. For instance, if wanting to complete an immersion experience within Native American culture, the student will need to clarify a specific tribe or region.
- Students will also provide specific ideas and plans for their two separate cultural immersion experiences.
The cultural group approval proposal will be submitted and approved through Canvas.
