A final reflection paper will be written. The student will focus on their use of minimization, denial, rationalization, and projection; an analysis of any slips or relapses; and an application of the experience to work with clients. Did the student succeed or fail and what influenced the student?
The paper will be at least two pages in length, double-spaced, and a 12 font. Additional pages can be added to this assignment if the student chooses to write more extensively.
The term paper is worth 100 points. Points will be awarded:
The student’s review/summary of their weekly journal writings 50 points maximum
Analysis of defense mechanisms used 25 points maximum
Personal implication and the student’s perspectives 25 points maximum
