ASSESSMENT BRIEF – GUIDELINES
Task: Utilising skills and tools covered in class to date you are required to redraw the 15 CAD Activities (see Moodle) following the notes on each task weekly.
Technical Information:
Follow the instructions on the Activities. Please note: each activity must be set up to plot in paper space at a scale of 1:1 unless otherwise stated. Best practice would be to set up the first layout as an A3 with the title block in paper space and then copy this layout for each activity. All the activities must be drawn in the one AutoCAD drawing file.
There will be a minimum of 15 activities for this assignment all of which will be plotted as .pdf files and saved. Some dimensions are not indicated therefore you must use a rough calculation method to draw these objects. Some objects have been scaled to fit the page after they have been drawn.

Requirements:
Part 1 – Copy 2D Activities in AutoCAD.
You are required to pay attention to the following:
Appropriate line weights and line types
Appropriate colours used
Use of Layers
Use of Hatch (light line weight, light grey colour)
Part 2- Submission
All Activities will be set up to plot as A3 drawings with a border and a title block
All Activities will be plotted as .pdf files and saved in the following format:
Firstname lastname Assignment 1 Activity 1 and so on. 15.pdf files will be submitted.

Create, insert and edit a variety of blocks, layers and templates.
Employ appropriate techniques to customise a drawing in order to plot a page set-up and layouts.
Apply a range of labelling techniques to include hatching, text and dimensioning.
Modify the properties of a drawing to include application of line-type, line-weights, colours and scales.
Customise and restore default drawing tool settings.
