ASSESSMENT BRIEF – GUIDELINES
Task: This project combines 4 Modules, as indicated above.
You are required to:
Copy the attached set of scaled technical drawings converting the dimensions from the imperial to the metric.
Produce CAD drawings to a suitable scale (for example, 1:20).
Produce Research and Drawings related to Renewable Energy Systems as per Teacher Instruction.
Produce an A3 Presentation Booklet (digital version only) (scan in hand technical drawings).
Requirements:
Part 1 – Technical Drawings
Copy the attached drawing by hand to include, 1no. Plan, 4no. Elevations (front, back and two side elevations), two interior sections and 1no. 3D view hand rendered (with colour).
You are required to pay attention to the following:
Appropriate line weights and line types
Handwriting and dimensions
Use of Hatch
Borders and Title block details
Part 2 – Based on your completed technical drawings you are required to prepare a full set of AutoCAD drawings.
You are required to pay attention to the following:
Layers, Line weights and line types
Use of Hatch
Text and dimensions
Borders and Title block details
Scale, page set up and plotting.
Part 4 – SketchUp Model
Based on the CAD drawings, build a SketchUp Model of your Seomra. Produce a minimum of 2 visuals and 2 Sections using Section Tools in SketchUp.
Part 5 – Reflect on the project and evaluate your work.
Write an evaluation of your own work based on how you felt you did with the project: time management, approach to project, what you learned, any issues, how you solved any problems that were encountered etc. 500 words min.

Submission Details: Collate the above and prepare an A3 digital booklet in Canva or similar software.
All files to be submitted digitally. You will need to photograph or scan any practical work and sketches. Ensure all files follow the Firstname lastname format.
